Our mission is to help give you the most personalized eye care possible, to make you see as clearly as you possibly can, and to diagnose and treat your eye condition correctly and promptly, while protecting and preserving your vision.
Services
Dr. Carl A. Pecoraro is certified by his licensing board to medically treat eye disease both topically and orally, as well as provide traditional routine eye care services such as eyeglasses and contact lenses of all descriptions. We participate with Medicare, VSP, Horizon BCBS NJ, Aetna, Amerihealth, Cigna, Davis Vision, and other popular insurance programs. We have been serving the Atlantic County South Jersey community for over 25 years. Unlike other practices in which technicians do most of the testing, and the doctor is seen for a very brief time, Dr. Pecoraro does all the testing, and decision making, in your case. This level of care provides the highest degree of accuracy in your examination, and eliminates errors that might otherwise occur when lesser trained individuals are responsible for information gathering.
Dr. Pecoraro is available after hours, and often answers his phone line himself. Imagine that. A doctor that you can reach directly in 2013! He will see you after hours; at midnight, if necessary, as judged by a review of your symptoms. We treat glaucoma, uveitis, keratitis, conjunctivitis, foreign bodies, and all anterior segment pathology. We will help you decide when it is time to remove cataracts, and do the pre and post-operative care. We can fill your eyeglass prescription, (determined by Dr. Pecoraro, and not a technician), and we can derive and prescribe your contact lens prescription. Dr. Pecoraro decides in concert with your needs and expectations what lenses are best, and the fit is not determined and delegated to ancillary staff as in other practices.
When you are tired of impersonal eye care, rushed encounters where you have little time to discuss your eye related concerns, when you feel you have a difficult or complicated eye problem that is not best served by seeing an eye doctor that sees upwards of 50 patients a day at intervals of 7 minutes per eye examination, as is common these days, you will want to make an appointment with Dr. Pecoraro. He will personally take your history (relieving you of the burden of filling out long complicated medical history forms), examine you in a relaxed atmosphere, do all the tests necessary to define and understand the nature of your concerns, and arrive at the best treatment plan to ensure that your eyes remain or are restored to a healthy state.
